Supporting our communities is one of our passions — paying it forward, helping those in need, and investing in people who help other people. James Beard Public Market receives $500K donation, reaches $3M fundraising mark

Saving Lives: A Night for Heroes raises $175,000 for Legacy Oregon Burn Center

Jordan and his father Barry Menashe donated part of a building they own to be used as a homeless shelter in downtown Portland. The issue of homelessness is important to Barry Menashe who lost two siblings, who suffered from homelessness and mental illness.

Not the first time Menashe has done a big giveaway. In 2011, Barry Menashe handed out new gloves, hats, socks and blankets to anyone who wanted them. Now, he’s handing out New Seasons gift cards at random, saying: “I think people need to step up and help where they can. We have the resources.”
